I mean inetutils/telnet (not telnetd) is broken on Linux and segfaults on
the Hurd, trying to connect to telnetd from Linux netkit or inetutils
telnetd on the Hurd respectively.
I can't tell you if telnetd works fine, I didn't test it, except in
conjunction with the broken telnet on the Hurd.

Of course. 1.3.2 works fine, for example, and certainly some inbetween
versions did, too.
