On the matter of optionally disabling the dbus, I can say the following:
There has been a request for BibleTime for Windows to work together with
Bibledit. If this is going to work, since BibleTime uses the dbus for
communication, then the switch to disable dbus would cripple Bibledit,
and people will ask questions as why this does not work. My view is that
the dbus is now a necessary part of bibledit. Teus.
