Actually, since the Brooktrout sdk uses streams, and I think, models 
events somewhat like the dialogic, I would expect the dialogic driver as 
being the best model to work from.  If the sdk does have a full 
asynchrononus programming model, then perhaps the vpb driver would be a 
good model to use instead.  

In any case, having a sdk to examine is the nessisary starting point.  I 
have one of their cards here; it's a full length PCI card with 4 RJ-14 
jacks on the back, and a small 3 pin jack also on the back, but I have 
forgotten which card it is...
