Hello,

There's a good chance that your /dev/brains is not the guilty party:
I added the MIDI router feature a couple of weeks ago - this involves
any MIDI driver. Now it may be that you are the first person to test it
(because I didn't test with OSS, shame on me...)

I'll have to try for myself, my laptop is just out of reach now.
