until now i thought so.
kernel is 2.4.17-rc2 and glibc - i think - is 2.2.0 (where do i get this
information about glibc?).

i now tried it on another system with kernel 2.4.18-pre3 and got the
same problem.

perhaps i make somthing wrong :-(

so far. i will try it next week (when i have more time)
