Yes, true. I have sent a message off to RMS about Ransom. He xpressed 
interest in the past on the project, so I can hopefully get some 
official FSF involvement in the model's development. From there I'll try 
to get FSF endorsement (one step at a time).

And yes, for PNet, Ransom would not work. I brought up Ransoming DotGNU 
software because I recall some talk about trying to make a 
FreeDevelopers-like (only *like*) corporation to help compensate 
developers of dotgnu software.

I'll wait on the DotGNU endorsement, but I would certainly like to see 
some people from DotGNU over on the Ransom list, helping to develop the 
model, making sure that DotGNU'sd needs and requirements are taken into 
consideration with it.
