Well, going from memory, when I clicked on a hyperlink about downloading
the ISO image I got a webpage full of gobbledeegook. I assume that my
browswer was trying to actually read the ISO image. Seeing that my
mozilla icon was still oscillating confirmed this suspicion -- something
as big as an ISO image would probably take a long time for to be loaded
into a viewable browser window.

Yippeee. That worked.

Here is a stream of consciousness writing intendend to give you feedback
on how to improve the interface.

Okay, so I see an ALeader Manual and a something else. I pressed some
other buttons, maybe a Play button, I forget and then I chose Star Wars.
I have a window that says "StarWars_r4.leadr" and it has lots of
text presumably from the Star Wars script. Hmmm...I got back to the
ALeader Manual...How to make it start up. I just want to watch a movie
and be given a "What emotion are they feeling" quiz...I want a big button
which says "PRESS THIS TO START DEMO"...I go to the part of the manual
that says "Quick Start"...This Quick Start section, if it is what I think
it is, should be much much more prominent. Anyway, if I remember
correctly, the Quick Start section pointed me to "3.3 Practice Exam".
So, I went there and started following the directions. It said, "Select
Open from the File menu. Locate and open a released transcript." Hmm,
I am not quite sure what the File Menu is. Maybe you mean click on File
on the acrobat reader that is displaying the Aleader Manual. So, I click
on File and I got a bunch of stuff like /home/knoppix/.links, tmp, .qt
etc...Doesn't not look like a "released transcript"....So, I give up for
the time being pursuing the "read the Aleader Manual" approach and go back
to the "StarWars_r4.leadr" window. I hit PLAY again just for the hell of
it. I coulda sworn I pushed it a while ago and nothing happened. Well
this time I press play and viola, I start to watch star wars! Pretty
neat. Sounds good, looks good. Time passes as I watch the film waiting
for Aleader to quiz me on what emotions are being felt, I write the above
paragraph. I notice that Lela's lips are not sync'd too well with the
sound. So what, not a big deal...Suddenly my attention is pulled from
this paragraph because the video stops. The droids are on the surface of
a planet. There is a picture of CP-30.

Well, it is getting late. Yes, I am probably being really dumb. You have
probably already pointed out several times what I am supposed to do, where
I am supposed to go.

The above paragraph might help you think of improvements to the interface.

Hmm..Now my screen went all crazy looking. Like there were horizontal
lines all the way across. And now the computer just shut down. Ah...the
battery light is flashing....My clue that it is time for the machine and
me to go to bed. (I'm assuming the crazy screen and maybe even the film
freezing in the middle of CP30 walking on the planet surface are due to
battery issues).

Let me know if the above kind of feedback is helpful....It is certaintly
NOT what I would send as a bug report if I were back at Cycorp, but it is
much easier for me to write. Worst case, someone (me?) can revisit such
stream of consciousness writings and use them to write up clearer bug
reports/feature requests.
