Interesting, never heard of someone boycotting Google, I always think of them as an extremely positive corporate force, at least as far as corporate forces go.

As far as making my app available to only streamtuner, of course not, I'd like to make it available to whatever application can use it. And search engines would be great, but I have to say my main focus has been helping to facilitate desktop applications that can play internet radio, especially college & community internet radio, since I think the quality of applications that do that has been really atrocious (with the exception of StreamTuner).

So for example if someone wants to make a program that lets you convert the unused keys on your keyboard such as the Function Keys and Scroll Lock to virtual presets on a virtual radio (hint hint), they can do that using this database.

Is there a reason to make your app specific to one
proprietary search engine?

What about http://clusty.com or others?

Also, is there anything about your app that requires
a proprietary Web browser like the problem-plagued
MS Internet Explorer series?

I avoid Google because they help the Chinese harm
their citizens and refuse to help our government to
protect ours from harm.

I avoid MS because their products are inferior and
overpriced and because they engage in anti-competitive
practices.

Am running Puppy Linux 2.12 here with the Seamonkey
Internet Suite (replaces the Mozilla Suite, parent
to Netscape).  I use Clusty.com as it does most of
what Google does, sometimes faster, and they don't
sell-out.

Just wondering ... :-)
