Hi Steve, this is not a high traffic list. Moreover, there is currently
an effort to split Speech Dispatcher into a higher level part and an
underlying lower level part. The lower level part should be covered by
the project TTS API, and its implementation - TTS API Provider.

TTS API is discussed at Freedesktop mailing-list
accessibility at freedesktop.org. See also http://www.freebsoft.org/tts-api

That's mostly the move towards TTS API. Another thing lately developed
is the Python client library, which is used by the Orca screen reader.
In connection with this, we plan to release a new version of Speech
Dispatcher by the end of February. That would be nice to be able to
include your improvements with this realease...

You can just send patches, or if you like to stay with us, I can create
an account for you, so that you get a full read/write access to the CVS.

Let me know if you prefer having the account. In this case, send me
your public ssh key if possible.

Best regards, Tomas.
