Of course, the above only works if you have my .ssh keys.
The correct command is:
$ git clone git://github.com/wrp/wscreen

This builds cleanly with:
autoreconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.63b.72-524a
gnulib-tool (GNU gnulib 2009-04-26)

and should work fine with ac 2.63.
