In fact, for the case of savannah, I think we should let "private project"
visible in user /my.

Only FSF "project" are classified private, since there arent real project (no
code is produced) but FSF coordination projets.

And, IMHO (but I know that others thinks in the same way) only this kind of
private "project" are acceptable, since it is definitely not in the mind of the
Free Software to hide (real) project developpement.

I think both ways. Its easy access to have the project on /my, on the other
hand, if you're working on another project with a friend, and your friend is
not supposed to know about the private project, it gets complicated.

I guess it depends on "how private" a project /really/ is. Maybe the project
admin could have a setting for the project, or you could just leave it as it
is, since then individual developers might want to turn this off for a given
project.

Anyway, I guess its a political decisition - is there any documents on the
politics / filosofy of Savannah that covers this issue?

In fact, this was in the task list.

Personnally I think that since a user is logged, project, private or no, should
be showed on his personnal page.

This high security issue is user loggin and not private/not private project, no
?

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Originally Private projects were really
intended to be as hidden as possible and as secure as possible. Therefore they
are not even shown on your personal page. I guess the motivation was security:
even if you forgot to logout before leaving a desktop machine nobody can guess
what the private projects are.

I agree it's a bit paranoid but it is safer. I'm not sure we want to modify
this feature, do we?

I'm not able to test this, I'm not member of any private project.
