The F4 can be programmed with OpenOCD 0.5.0 (tested). It is more or less an F2 regarding the interface, it also runs F2 code (without FPU obviously).
Can anyone make the FreeRTOS + FPU code available? I have a board sitting here, but focused on the peripherals first - since my F2xx system is running already FreeRTOS, that would be probably helpful.

Hello Piotr,
Thanks for the info about black sphere programmer.
I also found https://github.com/whitequark/stlink and I am about to try it. Sadly it only works on linux, it would be nice if it worked on Mac OS X too. ^^
I read that ST has freed the stlink API to some developers (I guess based on mass storage USB), so I believe it is only a matter of time to find it in openocd :P. I will give stlink a try as it is affordable.
Cheers.
