Hi,

Thanks Paul for your help. It works now!!!

When I load an EXR format image to the photoshop, I can control the exposure parameter. Is it possible to control it also in Shake ?

Thanks,
Nilly

Hi, Nilly,

I forgot to mention that I am using shake version 3.5 and Shake SDK version 3.1.

That's almost certainly the problem - you need to build against the same version of the SDK as the version of shake you're targeting.

SpinalTap.framework has been renamed in Shake 3.5 - I just checked in changes to the Xcode project a couple of days ago that update the project to work with the 3.5 SDK. You shouldn't have to install the SpinalTap framework to make the EXR plugin (or any shake plugin) work.

You might try running the "Console" application in /Applications/Utilities; this should show you any error messages Shake produced while trying to load your plugin.

Here's a build of the Mac Shake plugin for Shake 3.5 - let me know if this one works for you. We really should make binary versions of these plugins available, so not everyone has to build them from source.

<exrFormat.bundle>

Hi,

I have downloaded the the latest version of XCode and compiled the project successfully. I saved exrFormat.bundle under /Applications/Shake3.50/shake.app/Contents/PlugIns/startup, and saved SpinalTap.framework under /Applications/Shake3.50/shake.app/Contents/Frameworks/ But still when trying to load an "exr" format image the following error occured : /workdir/OpenEXR-images/MultiResolution/StageEnvCube.exr: (IL25) unknown image format.

What should I do?

Thanks,
Nilly

Hi, Nilly,
I'm sorry if I was dismissive when I suggested you upgrade to Xcode. Is there a reason you need to develop with ProjectBuilder? I haven't made any effort to make older project file formats available, since I reasoned there was no financial reason for developers to not be using the latest tools. Let me know if there are special circumstances that require you to use PB.

Nilly-

You can grab the latest version of XCode via the Apple Developers
Connection website:

http://developer.apple.com/tools/macosxtools.html

If you don't have a developer membership, you can sign up for
a free online account which will allow you to download XCode:

http://developer.apple.com/membership/online.html

Alternatively, just dig out your OSX Tiger discs and install
the developer tools, and just hit the system update.

Hope that helps.

Cheers!
