Follow-up Comment #5:

While certain combinations of compilers and standard library implementations
might work without issues when using `delete []` on `malloc`-ed memory, that
might not be the case with different combinations on other platforms. IIUC,
this is undefined behavior.

We should probably better fix this before the release of Octave 7.
