Follow-up Comment #10, bug #60133 (project octave): @Valdas: As you shrink the window, the size of the legend shrinks (because it is in normalized units) until it reaches the size of the legend item. At this point the if you keep on shrinking the figure (say its height) the absolute height of the legend being fixed, its *normalized width increases*, hence the effect you observe when stretching the figure afterward.
