Follow-up Comment #36, bug #57553 (project octave): I pushed the following change to use only the ambient light for edge lighting on patches: http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/91316b5dc5a2 It is somewhat inconsistent that specular and diffuse lighting *is* used for the edge lighting on surfaces.
