Follow-up Comment #6, bug #57584 (project octave):

No, I think you are getting stuck on hgsave. I don't get any hgsave.m test
failures in Octave 6, with or without --traditional. If you saw a test failure
in hgsave.m with Octave 6, that wasn't due to --traditional.

Try "test blkdiag.m" instead. For me, it passes without --traditional, 1 test
fails with --traditional (or with disable_range).
