Hi David,

as mentioned, it doesn't seems like crash - it's graceful stop by "monit quit" or by SIGTERM signal, driven externally. Monit itself doesn't stop, we're running it on ubuntu 14.04 machines too and don't see this issue, also internally there were no changes which may cause monit to automatically stop.

Can you send your monit configuration to address@hidden? We can look on it if there is some test, which may call "monit quit" or send signal to monit.

I recommend to check cron settings (maybe there is some backup/deploy process which stops monit?), also check if it stops always at the same time on all machines or randomly.
