Monit continues to die on 14.04.  Not 12.04.  Is this a know issue with 14.04? Monit died on 15 servers now.  Its just kinda random.  I have e.g, 3 elastisearch services..all identical via chef roles.  Only one monit service is alive.  These are the same cookooks I use to deploy on 12.04.

Thanks

Hi David,

the log doesn't seem like crash - it seems like something stopped monit gracefully, either via "monit quit" or by sending monit SIGTERM signal.

I recommend to check cron settings (maybe there is some backup/deploy process which stops monit?), also check if it stops always at the same time on all machines or randomly.

Martin
