Hi,
I am running the version of monit in CVS on Solaris running under init.
I sometimes see multiple copies of the monit daemon running. This seems to
be related to monit reload commands.
address@hidden $ ps -fe | grep monit
lxs 14345 1 0 18:45:36 ? 0:00
/opt/technocom/SOL_5_8_SPC/bin/monit -Ic /etc/monitrc
root 16418 21194 0 20:45:08 pts/7 0:00 grep monit
lxs 14488 1 0 18:46:35 ? 0:00
/opt/technocom/SOL_5_8_SPC/bin/monit -Ic /etc/monitrc
lxs 14333 1 0 18:45:36 ? 0:00
/opt/technocom/SOL_5_8_SPC/bin/monit -Ic /etc/monitrc
While monit status seems to work, most other things including the httpd do
not.
When I try and reload monit ...
address@hidden $ monit reload
Reinitializing monit daemon
monit: No daemon process found
Something has broken the pid files?
address@hidden $ ls -la /var/run/monit.pid /etc/monit.pid
gls: /var/run/monit.pid: No such file or directory
gls: /etc/monit.pid: No such file or directory
