(I think he'd like feedback on whether or not what he's done is ok and if
we can include his port on savannah.)

Subject: Porting lwIP to RT-Linux

Hello Kieran. I apologize for all discussions done in the users mail list
about GPL vs. BSD, but I'm forced to use GPL.

What I've done is to keep BSD license in all the pure lwip code (adding a
changelog) and just releasing some files (those which are extrictly the
porting) under the GPL license. Modules generated will be GPL code, but
I've added one exception (what is possible, as said in the GNU web page)
that you should see. The exception makes those programs linking with
RTL-lwIP (which is the name we used) or using the lwIP API not to carry
with the GPL "poison" (as it is known). Take a look at the README file.

The RTL-lwIP (RTLinux LightWeight IP) web page won't be indexed by google
till one or two weeks. I'd like you to take a look at the distribution and
give me any ideas or discussions about all that is added in the
distribution. I'll take a look to your reports.

By now, the distribution is here. I'll take my own page to include a FAQ
section and others.

It will be great if you include RTL-lwIP in Savannah.

Thanks by advance.

Sergio.
