This desirable behavior requires a terminal emulator (an msw console
won't do). That's also required for 'wx_test --list'.
To create a zsh shortcut that uses mintty (tested with msw-xp):
right-click on the desktop
New | Shortcut
"location":
C:\cygwin-lmi\bin\mintty.exe /bin/zsh --login
"name":
zsh
Finish
Optionally, to select a more idoneous icon:
right-click on the new shortcut
Properties | Change Icon
"Look for icons..." click Browse
select "zsh.exe" | Open
OK | OK
I find it convenient to drag the shortcut to the "quick start" area.
