Rick is out of the office until Monday, so I'm filling in
what I know to keep this moving forward.

Look and Feel

1) My personal preference is to see the heading values
on both sides reducing the number of heading lines which
allows more rows of column data to be seen at once and
reduces scrolling.

There were a few email discussions about this in early September
that suggest we could handle the justification by making it an
attribute of the field in this way:
  <scalar alignment=right>NameOfScalar</scalar>
Is that already available?

2) Can we lose the gridlines? Or make them softer like in
MS Excel? I find my eyes focusing on them instead of
the numbers.

I find the grid lines distracting as well, but I also find
some charm in the readability it provides for viewing values
horizontally. I just noticed Vadim's response to this, so I'll
have a look and provide my feedback.

Copy / Paste to XLS

We've noticed Evgeniy did a brilliant thing with the calculation
summary's copy-and-paste-to-spreadsheet behavior, which incidentally
solves this problem:
  https://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?105597
Notably, 1) and 2) are handled in a much more slick way than
using the 'Analysis' suggestions. What's done here is excellent
and an unanticipated benefit that we'll continue to embrace, so
thank you; we'll close that item soon.

Since that was handled so well, I'd like to ask if it would be
much trouble to address this problem as well:
  https://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?105592
? It's different from the above solved problem because, for
example, users may want to try achieving a particular internal
rate of return. As we know, that can get costly to do in the
calculation summary, besides we won't always know what fancy
calculation they might want to use; it's best if can just copy
and paste the calculation summary columns that are displayed.
Is that possible?

If it is, I'd like to offer a few more specification details. To
make an easy distinction between the two behaviors above, I'll
first suggest adding two new respective menu items with these
corresponding accelerator mappings:
  Copy spreadsheet data Ctrl-C
  Copy calculation summary Ctrl-Shift-C
The first one is what Evgeniy's already done in SR#105597 and the
second one SR#105592--is my newest request.

Today, when you view the calculation summary and do 'Ctrl-C',
then paste the clipboard contents to a spreadsheet, you'll
notice a disclaimer that appears in cell $A$3. What's important
here is to copy that same text to the clipboard with the new
'Copy calculation summary' function and cause it to be pasted
in the spreadsheet. It should not appear in the calculation
summary that's viewed on the screen, but it has to be included
when pasting that view.

I understand the data format that gets copied is tab-delimited
and the calculation summary displayed on the screen is actually
HTML, but is it easy to make the calculation summary printable
in addition to copyable? If it is, the disclaimer I mentioned
in the preceding paragraph will also need to be printed. And,
if the printability can be done, we'll need to add another menu
item as well:
  Print calculation summary Ctrl-Alt-P
Does this sound too hard to do in the time frame we have?
