What board are you using? I've experienced similar problems with the
Motorola A780 Linux phone. To me it seems that the problem is not the
block size but an unrealiable system timer. (But I'll investigate on this)
I use intel PXA 250 development board,it is not commercial but just
evaluating board.
the sound card on it is neither oss nor alsa.
My symptoms were:
- No sound output on embedded device (packets got too old and were
discarded before they could be played)
- Disrupted sound output on the other side
I did full experiments yesterday and found that the rtp packets are too
ofen from my embedded device to PC,that's about 100 packets per sencond.I
searched this from former archives and found this.

but I tried on my device.It doesn't work :(
and I don't know how the fifo works and what's the process of "gran",can
someone explain it to me?thank you very much
