The best bet is checking out the link to the install instructions above, in your IDE you would really just need to run "make" after you do all the ./configure stuff. Just follow the install instructions and report any bugs in it and keep track of the steps you took to get it working.

Most C/C++ projects have different source directory hierarchies so you'll want to spend some time just reading and navigating around the directories in the ToxCore project.

This time, ToxCore. and for and IDE I currently use Code::Blocks but Im
thinkng of trying Intellij IDEA because it supports C/C++ now.

My problem is the structure of C/C++ projects, and dependacies. Java is
simple source in /src libs in /libs, for C there is that /m4 directory
that sometimes has src in it too and libraries are arguments/parameters
for the compiler.

I guess I am just wanting something like gradle to save me.
I know C/C++ but I don't practice it until now so this is still confusing.
