OK thanks. But if there's some lib missing for it to work,
shouldn't jk_init or jk_update catch it?

Hmm, ok, well it seems like there's nothing I can
do to see what the problem is/was.

Maybe I'll try to figure out how I can do that myself.  I would 
suggest this as a good FAQ on the jailkit website.
