Praise on HyRolo

I am not heavy user of HyRolo, yet I do have praise for the concepts
and flexibility of it.

My contact management is ordered. Let me say that I have developed my
contact management system by using the PostgreSQL database, since 15
years 8 months and 28 days. And this is working so well.

My system is very ordered, for example, I may choose for a contact and
get list of various options on what to do with such contact, like if I
wish to send SMS, I can do it quicker than by phone, with the
connected phone and by using application on phone:

If I wish to add note to contact, I can do it, if I wish to open Org
file for contact, it is a second, with some templates inside. I am
sorting files by contacts and by dates, so if I wish to open directory
for specific contact, it is less then a second, and I find all files
for that specific contact. I can add their skills, I can subscribe
them to mailing lists, or send them some prepared emails, then I can
convert contact to BBDB, or see which people have been introduced or
export vCards, or designated specific identity to this contact, as I
use different businesses and identities to communicate.

In general my interface to my system is similar to HyRolo, I can
quickly search for a contact, and do other actions on such contact.

Yet my system came from a system of keeping simple text files, in very
similar fashion, almost same fashion as HyRolo. I just guess that
HyRolo does not get much exposure. And before using computer text
files in similar fashion as HyRolo, I was using the paper cards or
cards similar to Rolodex, they were just ordered in the box, and I
could then browse through paper cards, put notes about the contact,
dates when I called the contact and what the contact responded, so
this way I could follow up communication with people and I could even
assign assistants to call with me, they would just go through the
cards and keep calling to make sales.

Hyperbole with HyRolo I consider and use as temporary storage of
information for those situations when I am on different device, and
need to call or contact people and temporarily store information until
it gets ordered into the main database. It is available on every
device, and simple enough to be learned by employees as well.

And I also enjoy the kindness of the author and others on this mailing
list.

I would have some suggestions:

- I would keep Hide Hyrolo Google Contacts Flag: off by default,
  regardless if user has google contacts package or not, I did not try
  it, I only see it as privacy issue, as computer should not be
  contacting remote servers if user is not aware of it. This may be
  good feature for somebody, for me is contrary to the concept of
  keeping contacts on my computer that I need to contact remote
  computers.

- then I would suggest that functions are prepared, that can be
  customized, so that other functions can use them. For example, if
  one would like to send SMS to contact, there would be customization
  for Send SMS Function, then user could enter `termux-send-sms' for
  example, and then user could decide to send SMS to phone number by
  pressing for example "s" and there would be minibuffer, and after
  entering, SMS could be sent. User's function would receive the phone
  number. Text would be asked from.

  Similar could be made for "Initiate Call Function", then user could
  provide function such as "termux-initiate-call" and then the
  function could receive full name or first part of the name and phone
  number. User's function could then initiate the call.

  Same could be done for the Fax number or "Send Fax Function". In
  some countries every company has a fax number and faxes are used
  often today. It is manner of communicating easier. I am sending my
  faxes from Emacs straight, I can write a text and send a fax, and I
  use sometimes remote providers with email to fax, for example if
  number is 222, I would send it to 222@example-fax-provider.com and
  fax would eventually arrive, or I would use the built-in computer
  modem to send the fax. There are phones with fax modem built in, I
  can connect computer to the phone and use my phone to send fax.

  As what we do with all the numbers? We call, we send text, we send
  faxes to those numbers, right?
