Resizing Window with fltk

When I resize the window of a figure that has been made by gnuplot, the graph 
inside follows the resizing, as expected. However, when I do the same thing 
with a figure made by fltk, the graph remains the same size. Clicking the 
various buttons in the window doesn't make the graph fit the resized window.

Is this expected behavior by fltk? Or am I missing something?
