Maybe someone, some day will fork off Octave and make it a less stupid
language. I'd be very interested to see what someone could do with it.
But as it currently stands, the way I see Octave's position in the
world is to enable liberation of all the Matlab code out there that is
already free if it weren't for the non-free platform it's targetting.
And for this goal, for which no one but Octave is striving for, we
still need Octave to stay as dumb as it is now.
