What editor to use in combination with octave?

Hi,

I've been using octave now for some time and was wondering editor works
well with octave. So far I have been using geany (http://www.geany.org/)
because I can execute my m files by pressing F5. I really like this
feature because it offers you a quick way to execute your code and makes
debugging more comfortable. You can also get a similar behavior with
gedit. Are there any other editors that work well with octave? I also
know that qtoctave offers a full GUI to octave. I tried it, but didn't
really like it.
