Hi,
MinGW has released a new version of binutils, that should remove that error.
I am also trying to compile Qt4 with mingw, and with the last binutils, the
qmake.exe (built from qt4 sources) crashed. While in the new binutils
didn't.
The new binutils is version: 2.20.51
You can find the new binutils here:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/mingw/MinGW/BaseSystem/GNU-Binutils/binutils-2.20.51/binutils-2.20.51-1-mingw32-bin.tar.lzma
This new binutils sets --enable-runtime-pseudo-reloc-v2 by default. ;-)
Maybe now, I can get octave to run ;-)
Ole
For octave-forge people:
The new mingw32-gcc-4.5.0-url.txt should be changed to download the new
binutils like this:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/mingw/MinGW/BaseSystem/GNU-Binutils/binutils-2.20.51/binutils-2.20.51-1-mingw32-bin.tar.lzma
install-mingw32-4.5.0.bat should include have the following changes:
%W32TAR% %W32TAROPT% -f "%SRCDIR%binutils-2.20.51-1-mingw32-bin.tar.lzma"
