Just installed Debian
and Octave. Now want to install the package ‘comminications-1.0.4.tar.gz’ At the octave:1> prompt I gave
the command ‘pkg install home/Downloads/communications-1.0.4.tar.gz’ (as the file ‘communications-1.0.4.tar.gz’
is in the folder called ‘Downloads’ on my desktop) Now I get the message: tar: option
requires an argument – f try ‘tar –help’
or ‘tar –usage’ for more information. Warning: implicit conversion from scalar to string Error: tar: tar exited with status = @ However when I try ‘tar –help’ or ‘tar
–usage’ or try ‘tar help’ or ‘tar usage’ I
get ‘syntax error’. Please Help. Many Thanks. J.A. Ryan ( |
