In what way?  Whose function is it?  If you report the problem,

BTW, if you downloaded a binary copy of Octave, you should have been
able to get a copy of the exact sources that were used to build that
binary from the site that offered the binary, or a written offer to
provide the sources.  I think anything else would be a violation of
the GPL (section 3).  Note that it is not sufficient for people who
distribute binaries to merely point to ftp.octave.org, as those
sources may not be there forever, and users should be able to get
sources that correpsond exactly to the binaries they receive.
