Re: Announcing Octave-FANN

Søren,

I just built fann and octave-fann against octave 2.1.71 under Mac OS 10.3.9. (I'll see about 10.4 later today). The only problem I ran into is that there is no 'install' target in the Makefile. Where did you install the .m files? octave and octave-forge have a variety of paths for .m files. Maybe /usr/local/share/octave/2.1.71/site/m/fann/?

The install locations for .oct files are straight forward by comparison: /usr/local/libexec/octave/2.1.71/oct/powerpc-apple-darwin7.9.0/

Thanks

Hi Everybody,
In a mail earlier this week I mentioned that I was creating an Octave binding to the neural network library FANN (http://fann.sf.net).

So a first version as now ready. If you want to play with it, you can get it at
http://hauberg.org/octave-fann/

This is a first version so don't except everything to be perfect, but most of it is working good for me. Let me know if you use it and/or finds any problems.

Hopefully, when this binding gets stable (it has been stable for me) I'll have it included as an official FANN binding.

/Søren
