I was wondering if anyone knows of a simple set of Octave .m files that can
be used in
which you can give in a set of latitudes and a longitudes and the Octave
program will produce a
a basic 2-D map of the Earth with those points on it. The map needs to be
on the screen
in black and white or color.
I first looked at the GMT program and it seems to just make postscript
files as output and looks way more complicated than what is needed.
Thanks,
Neil Ottenstein
