I recently registered gnuplot.org and donated it to the cause - I'd be 
willing to do the same for octave as well.

With gnuplot I just registered through webjump so it would have a
temporary place to live until we could transfer it someplace
permanent, they sent billed me, and I paid for it (the first two years 
anyway).

Just say the word and I'll do it, and whoever wants to send a check to 
help defray the costs is welcome to.
