Have you tried setting
\property Grace.GraceAlignment \set #'horizontal-space = #0.5
(the default is 1.2). I don't have a running Lilypond here so
I don't know what it does, but from the name it seems a reasonable
property to try.

Try "fis8 ~ ] [fis8" instead, the ~ should be written after the
first note of the tie.
