regeneration of fonts

Hi,

Quick question: when I run the latest Lilypond (1.3.137), the program
regenerates all the fonts it uses with lines like:

kpathsea: Running mktextfm --destdir /var/lib/texmf/tfm/lilypond/1.3.137./  
feta-braces20

every time I compile a .ly file, which slows things down appreciably.  I
suspect that this is some problem relating to my TeX font paths, but I
don't know how to fix it.  I noticed it starting with this version, but I
haven't used Lilypond since version 1.3.134.  Any ideas?
