$20 says it is not real RS232.  Real RS-232 is +/- 12V.  That is probably
0-5V.  Which works perfectly with the 1st basreboard I sent.

You can buy them presoldered.  An old pill bottle will work for packaging.

Once again, $20 says it is not really RD-232, and anther $20 that
my board will work fine, using a few jumpers.

You wanted cheap, now you want fancy.  You can pick one.

As you discovered, GNSS, and gpsd is not for the layman.

Many ways to skin this cat.  As my mind reading skill are diminished due to
the solar flare, I have to throw out ideas to see what works for you.

Send them an email.  I don't see the modules there right now, but they may
