I was probably still in BINARY mode.  But thhe suspicion is that
it is the multiple reconfigs that wakes it up again.

Since you did not use "-v 2" there are things maybe happening that you
would not see.

Note this one gets the NACK:

Here:

UBX-CFG-SAT is not in protver 14. That has been fixed in git head.

Unclear why 6 config messages sent, but 12 ACK/NACKs received.  I suspect
stuck buffer somewhere...

As shown by you using old software.  git head has many u-blox improvements,
but mostly for the 9 series.
