I found this page http://doolittle.icarus.com/~larry/fwinventory/2.6.17.html, which lists some files in the 2.6 kernel that are binary firmware blobs (he has a color-coded chart -- all but the ones colored green should probably be removed). I've started to go through and find all of them (some of them were overlooked during earlier KFV) but thought maybe someone would like to help.
