Not necessarily hexadecimal. They could be any numbers.

Yes, it could be something else.

There could be source available in some other file, in which case it's not "sourceless".

And it could be a mathematical table (e.g. a list of primes). If such a table has been generated by a non-trivial script, then gNS-project might want to require that we have the source for the script, but I'm not sure about this.
