It's hard to imagine a day without YouTube and Linux flash plugin
crashes on 64bit linux because of that wrapper.
Even some Wine applications are bit instable or unsupported on linux.

Try to invoke the wizard for installing bcm43xx driver wizard from
terminal and install the driver. I'm sure that it will work even on
32bit. As I said the only problem is it can detect the speed and looses
signal strength at very near range than windows env. I don't exactly
remember the application name. I will let you soon.
