Just as an idea, while reviewing free software, why not create a database, showing what free alternatives are available to proprietry software. eg. People using microsoft outlook, looking for a similar thing on a linux platform may look towards evolution or similar.

A searchable database which allows people to specify what they currently use, which can deliver an alternative list. The list could probably be further refined by allowing them to select features they require.

Quite a large task, I know. But, probably, this would work well as a port of call for companies looking to move to free software. Especially useful (IMHO) in getting people to realise that there is another way.

Just my 2 cents worth anyway.

Thanks - Kenny
