Clarence, can you publish screenshots from your port - some levels and
the menus?

The only screenshot that I have is here, along with the download.

I cannot produce more as my GP2X was stolen recently :( I will ask
other people on the forums there to take some if you would like.
Unfortunately a LOT of assumptions are made in the current code about
screen and element size. I had to rip out hundreds of lines of gui
element positioning math in my port. I don't think that merging that
back into the tree is a viable option. I didn't expect my request to
succeed, but you can't fault me for trying.

Of course we would not merge the changes directly to the trunk. But it would be useful to know all the critical parts of code.

I very much appreciate the idea of a handheld-port of Enigma!
Clearly, we can't merge it into the trunk itself, in particular as
there seems to be another reason: Clarence, am I right that the
gp2x-version should be as small as possible? I saw your version
of 0.92 was stripped of documents and other accessories, and you
wrote something like this on archive.gp2x.de.
In that case we could e.g. further restrict parts of the code or data;
remove seldom stones or features that are not useful on gp2x, use
cheaper fonts, less languages ... In principle, we could even #ifdef
parts of the code in our trunk-version; Ronald, what do you think?

In particular, the gp2x-version should be downloadable from
our homepage, and made known to the audience on mag-heut.net.

Greets,
Andreas
