We have a lot of evidence for this being the case from community
interactions such as this one.  Attracting more contributors is one of
the main reasons why we are looking into sourcehut (or some other
forge).

For my part, I'm not just fine with our tools, but actually prefer them
to the forge workflow.  But my thoughts and preferences are not the key
thing here, but what most other prospective contributors think.

This is why we want to provide two types of workflow: both the forge
one, and something close enough to the one we have now.  The hope is
that sourcehut (or some other forge) will eventually provide this.
