I see, I realize this code was written with the old layout directory
arrangement.

Try this hack...

./emacs -batch -l /tmp/elisp-benchmarks/elisp-benchmark.el --eval '(progn (setq 
comp-speed 3) (setq comp-native-path-postfix nil) (elb-run))'

I really have to update elisp-benchmarks on elpa.
