I hope so, though I'd be happy if they'd just try to remain compatible.

[When I've reported missing features in debian's install-info as bugs (e.g a
new option added by GNU install-info), the replies I've gotten have been sort
of petulant (`we were first, they have to remain compatible with US!').]
