Wouldn't GNUTLS be a surprising place to find ssl.el? Wmperry's ssl.el
invokes OpenSSL (`start-process'). We could remove the OpenSSL stuff
completely if it can't be shipped with Emacs, but shipping it with GNU TLS
seems a bit confusing to me (would you ship XEmacs specific code with
Emacs?).
Sorry for not following up on the other messages on GNU TLS, I'll try to
get to them in the weekend.
