Ok thanks. The current workaround has been indeed to skip midnight 
backup and to start at 02:00. I decided to use duplicity in order to 
have a relatively simple tool to use so I don't want to do trivial 
things. I will correct my script in the future, keeping in mind that's 
better to use UTC for a better interoperability.
